Rank: Zentraedi Minister of Affairs
Exedore, advisor to Dolza and Breetai, is the voice of the law regarding the Zentraedi way of life. His physical deformity caused him to exempt from combat, therefore he has turned all his energies to studying Robotechnology and how it relates to the Zentraedi. Exedore has learned that Robotechnology is the means of creating bio-mechanical life forces. it is this "secret" which drives him toward the humans and their prized possession, the SDF-1. He is convinced that the humans have stumbled onto a very powerful weapon but are unwilling to give it up. To Exedore, the SDF-1 is the physical embodiment of the future of Robotech. It indicates the way in which immortality can be realized. He is also aware of the Invid's need to possess the seed of Robotechnology. Eventually his fear of the Invid and his growing dissatisfaction with the Zentraedi way of life force him to join with the Micronians in ordder to keep the secrets of Robotech free.
Age: Not determined
"[Exedore] is also aware of the Invid's need to possess the seed of Robotechnology. Eventually his fear of the Invid and his growing dissatisfaction with the Zentraedi way of life force him to join with the Micronians ...
First, it was the fear of Dolza destroying the SDF-1 and Breetai's fleet that caused Exedore to switch sides, though the report from the Zentraedi spies did make him interested in seeing the Micronians' very different way of life. However, that's not the puzzling thing about this passage. The puzzling thing is that nobody in the ROBOTECH TV series even mentions the Invid until episode 29, "The Robotech Masters", and even then it is the Masters themselves that discuss the invaders from the final third of the ROBOTECH TV series. In the entiety of the 36 episodes of The Macross Saga, Exedore does not discuss the Invid even once, nor does anyone else in the Macross footage. it is possible that Exedore kept these thoughts to himself or discussed them with Breetai off-camera, but the passage is not supported by the dialogue of the TV series.
On the color version of page 1-23, notice Exedore's orange Zentraedi insignia. This incorrect coloration is reflected on the 6" Matchbox action figure of the character.
