THE LOWDOWN
The rag-tag assemblage of Local Group refugees and former Robotech Expeditionary Force officers known as the Sentinels are still fighting to drive the Invid off of their worlds. Meanwhile, across the Local Group, life goes on.
On Optera, a group of Karbarran commandos searches for the Invid Regent, in hopes of hunting him down and getting their revenge on the tyrant.
On Praxis, a group of forgotten Amazons seeks a way to flee their dying world.
On Karbarra, the Invid are sabotaging the locals' shipbuilding efforts, and it's up to Carnova Smith, Slughunter, to find the hidden foes and hunt them down.
On Haydon IV, the Invid Regis searches for the wherabouts of the Robotech Masters.
On Garuda, the local population is going mad, much to the horror of the REF troops still stationed there.
On Spheris, the Invid rule the planet's surface, while underground the native population has become prisoners on their own planet.
And in space, John Carpenter heads for Earth, in hopes of informing the Army of the Southern Cross that the Robotech Masters are on their way.
BACKGROUND INFO
Starting in the second month of Academy Comics' reign with the Robotech comic book license and continuing almost until the end, John and Jason Waltrip produced this series of one-shots that tied into their popular adaptation of Robotech II: The Sentinels--some directly, others tangentially. They covered all of the major locales in the expanded Sentinels version of the Robotech universe, with the exceptions of Peryton (probably intended to be next after the Star Runners one-shot) and Tirol (covered almost every issue in the regular Sentinels series). They also covered the mission of John Carpenter, seen in the Southern Cross episode "Outsiders". These stories covered the less-traveled corners of the Robotech universe, giving us a glimpse at the true scope of the story we'd been following for so long.
